I just blew through Live on Stage: Don’t Die…Kill! Veteran performers Rick Michel and Sammy King share some insights on performing that can only be learned through that greatest of all teachers – experience.I enjoyed that the format was easy to read, genuine useful information not disguised as something it’s not nor stuffed with a lot of unnecessary verbiage. It reads like seasoned performers sharing notes on what you should or shouldn’t do to be a successful performer.
The material is genuine and insightful and is structured to help every part of what a performer needs to know, whether it’s how to react to the audience, knowing your room, marketing yourself (including setting a monetary value), or what you do when you’re not performing.
While I’m not about to jump onto a comedy stage anytime soon, I appreciate that this book is useful for any sort of presentation. There really is something of value for almost anyone.

The biggest fear is public speaking and this book will help that fear greatly.
